Our Future, literally?

I read Paula's blog entry for today and well it got me thinking. What will future hold for us. It's probably inspired by my horrible marks but what the heck!

I realised that even though the world has a thousand and one opportunities for one somehow they closed down one by one. Perhaps it's on the way to singling out the One Career. For example. My parents never sent me for classes when i was young. Nope no ballet, piano, etc. So occupations like a proffesional dancer, pianist, or teacher even have all been ruled out since my young days. I do somewhat disagree that perhaps these skills could be picked up and mastered in the years to come but some are utterly impossible. Not likely,eh? Since my entrance to 3.8, many many careers have been ruled out. For example, anything to do with Literature, be it teacher, professor, etc. Or even a Doctor, which needs triple science or atleast pure biology. If you get the jist carry on.
The best would be you just not born with the talents. For example. A lovely singing voice it rules out completely singers, etc. Or even without musical talents such as playing the guitar or drums perhaps rules you out from the music industry.

I could give you a ton more examples. But I hope you get my point.

For my future. I have a really bad feeling. A bad feeling that i may land up being some Chemical Engineer or such. I mean what the hell. I could go into theatre but i couldn't do musicals and the media industry isn't big in Singapore so i'll have to travel but what would America or Australia[example] have for an Singapore-born Indian girl? Maybe a Pan-Asian but Get real. It isn't a promising career with many ups and downs like a roller coaster ride.

What I dream. I've always watched the newscasters on channel 5 and imagined me there. So 1) A Newscaster. 2)A Masseuse. I do believe my hands are somewhat magical. No! heh. I think I just need training and i could be a full-time masseuse. Do me a favour, ask me for a massage and perhaps give me a tip! 3) A full time Pastry Chef, or something to do with baking/cooking. Hey you've tried my brownies. What do you think? Could i make a million with my brownie-cake thingie. whatever it is. Training is needed. 4) Somehow i think i would work well in an office. Yeah as boring as that sounds i think i would. Say an Advertising firm. I'm creative, i could do that.
5) A lawyer. Yeah who wouldn't want to be. But seriously, i speak well, i do debate well. Yeah.

Putting this aside. I'd rather wait day by day. Let's enjoy the teenage years. Meanwhile awaiting the dreadful O's. And then we'll see.
By the way. I wanna go to ACJC [Anglo-Chinese Junior College] and take Theatre Studies. Let's see how. Okay?
